More About Poker

My game is No-Limit Texas Hold-em (NLHE).

I'm pretty much a beginner, but have played a few tournaments, which I prefer. Although I probably do better at 6-10 seater Sit & Go and also play some cash games (very small stakes).

The next big tournament in the UK is the GCBPT (Gala Casino British Poker Tour) which has the Grand Final in Bristol from 1st to 7th December 2008.
I am playing the small side-event on 1st December and attempting to qualify for the £1500 Main Event. More updates from this after the 1st.....also see http://www.gcbpokertour.com/

As with business I am a keen student of poker, as things never stay still and there's always something new to learn.

Ok first let me explain any confusion over my name.....!

You may also see links or posts to Andy MacLeod as well as Andy McLeod.

Why?....
well the name on my birth certificate (and dad's) is Mcleod, but that is a mistake (thanks Gran).
My surname should be spelt MacLeod.

Those with Irish / Scottish / Celtic backgrounds might know why, but anyway, now I have a
son I intend to correct this mistake so am using MacLeod as much as possible.

So there you have it, descendants of the son of Leod from the Isle of Lewis in Scotland is here !

Welcome to my Blog.

I am going to be sharing my own thoughts and ideas on business and poker as well as lots of outside information (as I have found some other people know more about certain parts of these subjects than I do!).

I hope you get some useful insights from this as well as finding it entertaining following my journey to success in both my online business and poker ventures.
